![]() The lung lobes and initial branches of the airways, pulmonary arteries and veins were previously defined in each XCAT model. Eleven XCAT phantoms of varying anatomy were used in this study. The purpose of this study was to extend the Extended Cardiac-Torso (XCAT) series of computational phantoms to include a detailed lung architecture including airways and pulmonary vasculature. This article presents a review of the literature on the quality and the language of learning objects used to enhance the teaching of Human Anatomy, in addition to analyzing the influences of computers on changes to the learning objects in content of the discipline of anatomy. However, such learning objects should not replace the use of cadavers, rather all of these methods should be integrated in order to improve the performance of students. Each of these objects has its qualities as facilitators of knowledge, a fact represented by the impact that they have on the learning of anatomy translated into an improvement in student grades. Thus, to improve the teaching of anatomy other learning objects such as anatomical models, videos and software, have been used. However, the use of cadaverous material presents difficulties in terms of acquisition, conservation. Learning anatomy by means of a cadaver contributes to the understanding of the shape, location and relationship of various organs and structures of the human body. The traditional method of teaching Human Anatomy is based on the use of cadavers, text books and the use of images from an atlas. In particular, the educational process is elaborated through critical flexibility and on-going development of identity between the teacher and students, considering the regional population's social reality. The results were positive in the sense that the approach combined a basic science like Anatomy with environmental knowledge in a unique teaching-learning model. Course participants conducted interdisciplinary action-based research activities using different dialogical teaching-learning methods with public primary school students. Londrina, ParanĂ¡, Brazil, teaching Human Anatomy from the perspective of integrating the relations between the human body and the environment. In the attempt to present alternative solutions, we implemented an extension project under the State University in. In this context, the teaching of Human Anatomy needs to be reviewed in order to meet these new expectations. Constant evolution in educational technology has raised the need to reflect on teaching practice and to discuss this practice among educators and health professionals. ![]()
